Nia Archives, the trailblazing new-generation junglist, has made history as the first jungle artist to earn three BRIT Award nominations. The Bradford-born, Leeds-raised artist is up for “Artist of the Year” and “Dance Act” at the 2025 ceremony, adding to her previous “Rising Star” nomination in 2023.
Reacting to the news, Nia expressed her gratitude, stating: “So grateful 2 get x2 Brit nominations!! Such a proud moment for jungle music, big up all the original and new gen junglists out there!!”
Her recognition marks a significant milestone for jungle music, celebrating its evolution and impact on British culture. The nominations cap off an incredible 2024 for Nia, highlighted by her debut album Silence Is Loud. The project, which fused Britpop influences with jungle beats, earned critical acclaim, a Mercury Prize shortlist, and comparisons to British music icons like Blur, Goldie, and The Prodigy.
The winners will be announced live on Saturday 1st March at The O2 Arena, with fans determining the winners of genre awards through a public vote on WhatsApp. Voting opens on 31st January at 12PM and will run until 14th February.
