It's here. We all saw the clips surface online of Kendrick Lamar shooting the 'Not Like Us' music video in Compton, and we all had high hopes for the visual. Given the levels that the track has reached, the visuals had to be levels, and it is safe to say that Kendrick and Dave Free have delivered with this one.
The cinematically shot and directed production see's Kendrick perfectly accompany his smash hit with a music video that adds even more weight and value to the diss track itself. From beating the piñata owl, to locking the owl back in the cage at the end, the Compton raised superstar is calculated and strategic with how he picks apart the beef and visualises it.
Whether it's Kendrick appearing in a cell-inspired room to drop and give Drake 50 like he said on 'Push Ups', the way he silenced the doubt around his family, as Whitney and the kids join Kendrick dancing to the track in the living room, all the way through to the fact that the entire production is directed by Kendrick and Dave Free, the 'Not Like Us' music video is the perfect way to wrap up this whole saga.
