NEW: Lil Durk - Opportunist

Over the past few years many fans have noticed that Lil Durk has matured in the music that he is putting out. His personal growth and unfortunate losses of close friends has definitely aged his music. His upcoming album title is a testament to that as he calls it ‘Deep Thoughts’. We are expecting to hear a very self-aware project from Durk and his latest single ‘Opportunist’ is expected to be on the album. It is a very laid back record and we hear R&B influencers throughout matching the sound of the DJ Bands produced beat.

There are many topics Smurk raps about on this new one including; people dying, pain, street life and more. We get to see Lil Durk in his reflective bag as he says he would do anything in the world to get his circle back. The second verse on the track is interpreted as a short story, about his peers who are back home dying at the hands of a contract killer. He has apparently left all street antics behind as he explores his new life now he is no longer a felon. It is impressive to see Durk’s growth and only time will tell as to where his music will take him next.
