Joey Bada$$ is looking to kick start 2025 with a bang, as he makes a return for his new single ‘The Ruler’s Back’. Due to the rapper being quiet the past two years, many fans wasn’t expecting a drop from him anytime soon, certainly not the first day of the new year anyway. This actually marks Joey’s first solo release since 2023, the rapper hasn’t dropped a full project since 2022 but maybe in 2025 that will change.

The track was created with a Conductor Williams beat, which really puts the rapper in his element. The single is filled with quick hitting and memorable bars which will have the industry questioning who he is coming for. This is the most confident we have heard Joey in years, he is basically putting his middle finger up to anyone who doubt hi abilities. Not only does he gift his fans the new single but we also get an accompanying music video.
