NEW EP: Rio Da Yung Og - RIO FREE

For months Rio Da Yung Og has been steadily building towards the release of his new EP. Towards the end of last year the rapper dropped off some huge singles, making sure that the attention was on him during the later stages of the year. Which makes perfect sense as now we know why, the rising star has now released a new EP for his fans to enjoy. The EP is 10 tracks long which is quite a lengthy EP in this day and age, no complaints from his fans as they get to hear much more new material than previously expected.

On the opener he puts his best food forward with ‘Yung OGee’, the instrumental is hitting different on this one. Rio does his thing, rapping bars that never sound like he’s in a rush to get them off. Two other tracks ‘Do Dat’ and ‘Shake Back’ maintain this same tempo and vibe. He has added very slight variation in tempo on his other tracks, but I would say if a slow rapping tempo isn’t for you, the EP probably doesn’t offer you much.
