NEW: Ari Lennox - Smoke

It has been a very busy month for Ari, last week she took to IG to announce her plans to leave social media for good. She has plans to close down all her social media pages and just keep her official website and YouTube channel. The news has been met by mixed reviews, many say they respect her choice and can understand why she would want to do this. Whilst others look at it from a selfish fan point of view and want their favourite artist to remain active on socials.

One thing she won’t be doing is quitting releasing music, as she gifts her fans a new record to hopefully settle the talk around her social media antics for a bit. She releases ‘Smoke’ audio and music video which fits around the topic of mental health.

It has been a very testing month for the artist, not only has she had the social media stuff to deal with. But this new release also comes after she cancelled her show in LA due to low ticket sales. She recently opened up about this on her IG live, with honesty and transparency. Which is very refreshing to hear from an artist, unlike usual PR statements that are put out, huge respect to Ari Lennox for that.

The music video for this track takes place in a mental institution and shows Lennox fighting with the staff, singing in a straitjacket. While the track itself features her speaking about not backing down from any conflict and facing it head on.
