Yeat has been steadily growing a cult fan base for some years now. He is a classic example of having the right fans can boost your career to new heights. The reception he gets at his shows, his streaming numbers, his social media interaction, it is up there with some of the very best in the game.
The rapper broke out with ‘2093’ which featured Lil Wayne & Future. It put him in a whole different space within the industry and he is back less than a year later with another new album. His new album is titled ‘LYFESTYLE’ which he admitted to The Fader Magazine that this album was an attempt to lean more into his rap side.
Despite him leaning more into his rap side, there are so many elements of ‘2093’ which fans can familiarize themselves with in the music on this project. ‘SPEEDBALL’ and ‘LYING 5 FUN’ are perfect examples of this, filled with frantic synths and autotune. The title track features Lil Durk and Yeat swapping verses, you wouldn’t expect it to sound as good as it does, I must admit it doesn’t sound like a good feature on paper.
