NEW ALBUM: Southside - Break The Silence

The legendary Atlanta producer Southside is back with his debut solo album and his first solo project since 2018. Back in the day when he rapped more, he used to go by the name Young Sizzle, and it looks like he is ready to tap back into that side of his artistry.

If you don’t know about Southside you need to look back on the impact he had on rappers sounds back in 2010, this project is a clear indication of that. The album actually sounds like a lot of artists he helped influence like; Future, Lilly Baby and Migos. Southside keeps repping the A on his new project which fits perfectly into the modern ATL Hip-Hop scene.

Despite many of the beats being handled by Southside himself, he does gain assistance from TM88, Akachi and a few others. We all know Sizzle is a confident producer, who likes to talk his talk. Well he also possesses this when he raps, anyone would have thought he has been rapping the past decade.

It is clear to see the influence from rapper and fellow friend Future, it is good to see Southside assert himself back into Atlanta rap. Will we see anymore rap projects or singles from Southside after this or will he just go back to solely producing?
