NEW ALBUM: Snoop Dogg & Dr Dre - Missionary

Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre have to be up there with the most influential duos in Hip Hop history, their legendary status was cemented many years ago. They went straight to the top with ‘Nuthin’ But A G Thang’ back in 1992.

This album has been highly anticipated ever since it was announced, it serves as the follow up to Snoop’s debut ‘Doggystyle’. It’s a weird position to be in as the duo, as many fans expectations won’t be as high as they used to be, due to their age and the fact their better musical days are probably behind them. Whereas other fans will still have high expectations for the iconic duo.

The album opener has the perfect title, ‘Fore Play’ is a soulful banger featuring BJ The Chicago Kid. It sets the bar for the tape by establishing a laid back anchored sound. One track many fans had their eye on is ‘Gunz N Smoke’, mainly due to the fact of the legendary line up featuring 50 Cent and Eminem. Dr. Dre has a handful of guest verses with ‘Outta Da Blue’ being the standout out of the three.
