NEW ALBUM: Lil Baby - WHAM

Kicking 2025 off the right way, Lil Baby finally releases his highly anticipated album ‘WHAM’ standing for Who Hard As Me. Building up to the album, fans have got to see the ATL star in a much different light, he has been doing a lot more interviews and popping out at events more. He linked up with Charlamagne for an in depth sit down chat and also with his friend Lil Yachty for his ‘Safe Place Podcast’. In both conversations we get to see a more vulnerable side to him and he also gives us an insight into his upcoming work. He states that he has another self titled album dropping after ‘WHAM’ called ‘Dominique’.

Lil Baby's new album 'WHAM'

For this album we get to see Lil Baby push himself artistically without sacrificing his raw appeal and what fans have always liked from him. Due to his own complacency I feel like he has encouraged a lot of criticism in recent times, this album was important for him to get back to where he should be, eating at the top table in Hip Hop.

He wastes no time getting straight to it on the album opener ‘Listen Up’. This intro sets the tone as the rapper gives us a deep emotional cut. The new album is 15 tracks long and features some heavy hitters. What is interesting about the features is the fact that we get an array of artists from Young Thug and Future to GloRilla and Rod Wave. Glo and Baby flex their chemistry on their duet ‘Redbone’ which will certainly have the ladies jumping in the club. Rod Wave adds soul to ‘By Myself’ which has that anthem type of feel to it.

One feature everyone has been anticipating is the first feature from Young Thug since being released from prison. Considering the depths of Lil Baby and Thug’s relationship, it was most fitting for Thugger to make his return on this album. The fact that the track also features Future, makes even more sense. When you see Lil Baby, Future and Young Thug on the same track, nothing much else needs to be said ‘Dum, Dumb and Dumber’ is a standout track on the album.
